Nice job. You just made the best decision of your life. To get your C-9 Contractors License. From now on you will never be the same.
Why?
Because you’re not just choosing to get your license but a higher way of living. Taking on risk, being a businessman, an entrepreneur!
But that’s just my opinion.
Let’s break down how to get your C-9 Contractors License in three simple steps.
Step 1. Requirements for C-9 Contractors license
There is a myth you need a lot to get your contractor license. In reality you only need three things.
- Must be over 18 years old.
- Have 4 years of working experience.
- Have a valid SSN or ITIN.
As long as you meet those three requirements you’re good to go. There isn’t anything stopping you.
That is. Unless. You stop yourself.
Chances are you’re over 18 and have more than 4 years of experience.
That’s why you thought about getting your license in the first place.
So the only thing stopping you is yourself.
Take massive action and get the license.
Live free and prosperous.
Step 2. Study
Nice.
You made the decision. That’s the hardest part.
In order to get your license you must first pass two tests.
The first one is on law. Including Liens, contract law, bonds, taxes, etc.
The second is a trade test exclusive to getting your C-9 Contractors License.
This is where we come in. The Contractor License School exists to make sure you are equipped to pass these tests and become the contractor of your dreams.
That is why we offer our in-person and virtual courses with everything you need to do just that.
If you have any questions go ahead and give us a call or schedule an appointment to learn more. (800) 659-1207.

Step 3. Pass
The final step is to pass the two tests. Once you complete the course and send off the application (provided upon enrollment) the CSLB will make a file in your name.
The Application verifies your experience and business information (if necessary).
Once the CSLB receives it they will reach back out to you with options for the testing date/location.
This whole process takes 4-8 weeks. During that time you can keep studying to make sure you are ready to go.
From there you pass and get your license.
Simple right?
Then you’ll be able to take your own contracts. Manage your own business. And find freedom.
All it takes is the first step.
