First Things First.
Test number 1. Law
Taking you back to your highschool days, the CSLB requires you to pass two tests in order to et your license. Thankfully one is much easier than the other. The first one covers all things law. That includes contract law, liens, bonds and taxes. It is written by lawyers who are experts in law but don’t worry we’re here to help you out.
Test Number 2. Trade
Now for your second test it is much easier. It is exclusive for the specific trade you are going for, in this case C-7 Low Voltage Systems. Typically this test is easier than the law because you have the necessary 4 years of experience. This makes learning and studyng for the test much easier.
How do I get started?
Taking that first step is always the hardest. But it takes that first step to achieve massive success. We’d love to be that first step. Helping you achieve all your contracting hopes and dreams. All the way from studying the content, setting up your business, sending off your application.
There are a few things you should know…
1. You need to have 4 years of experience (the hardest part)
2. Must be 18 years or older (the easiest part)
3. Must have an SSN or ITIN (the average difficulty part)
You’re halfway to getting your license once you pass the requirements. So the only thing left for you to do is take massive action. ‘Get stuff done’ if you will. And that starts with taking the first step.
What about the APPLICATION?
Upon enrolling in the course we will provide a copy of the application as well as assistance on how to best fill it out. Once you have completed the course, feel comfortable, and ready for the test you can fill it out, get it signed and we will review it one more time. Then you’ll send it off and the rest will be history.
It typically takes up to 8 weeks for the CSLB to get back to you for a test date. Once they do, you’ll be given options for a date and location to take your test.
