How many questions? The Test ranges from 110 to 120 questions.
How long is the exam? The exam duration is 3.5 hours.

Test number 1. Law
All good things in life come in pairs. Like jorts and the giraphes in Noahs Ark. Getting your license is just the same. You need to pass two tests. The first one is exclusively on law. It will test you on liens, taxes, contrct law, bonds, etc. But don’t worry, you got this.
Test Number 2. Trade
The trade test is much different than the Law. It is exclusive to the license you are getting. C-4 in this case. That means you have been studying for years now. How? Because you have at least 4 years of working experience in that trade.
How do I get started?
Our job at the contractor License School is to make sure you are equipped to take the test and become a successful contractor. We help you every step of the way. From educating you to pass your test, setting up your business entity, and advertising, we want to be a resource for you.
But first, there are a few things you should know…
1. You need to have 4 years of experience (the hardest part)
2. Must be 18 years or older (the easiest part)
3. Must have an SSN or ITIN (the average difficulty part)
You’re halfway to getting your license once you pass the requirements. So the only thing left for you to do is take massive action. ‘Get stuff done’ if you will. And that starts with taking the first step.
What about the APPLICATION?
Upon enrolling in the course we will provide a copy of the application as well as assistance on how to best fill it out. Once you have completed the course, feel comfortable, and ready for the test you can fill it out, get it signed and we will review it one more time. Then you’ll send it off and the rest will be history.
It typically takes up to 8 weeks for the CSLB to get back to you for a test date. Once they do, you’ll be given options for a date and location to take your test.
